Boko Haram on Thursday took a
strategic step to frustrate Nigerian security forces from crossing over
to Cameroun
to hunt its operatives down by bombing the sole bridge
linking Borno State, Nigeria and Cameroun.
The bridge is said to be located at the
border town of Gamboru where the insurgents killed over 100 persons and
destroyed buildings on Monday.
Reports quote residents of Gamboru as saying that the development had cut off some of their relatives from Nigeria and left them stranded in Cameroun.
